SHINEBOX RECORDINGS TO ISSUE SPLIT 7″ FROM BROOKLYN BANDS BATILLUS AND MUTILATION RITES ON JULY 21, 2011
STEREOGUM PREMIERES THUNDERING NEW TRACKS FROM FORTHCOMING EP
NYC's Shinebox Recordings will deliver a special vinyl seven inch split featuring Brooklyn extreme metal acts BATILLUS and MUTILATION RITES on July 21. Recorded in with AJ Peters and mastered by James Plotkin (Khanate, OLD, etc.), the limited edition EP features new songs from each band and will be released in conjunction with the bands' upcoming U.S. tour which is set to launch on July 8 in Providence, RI. ANCIENT VVISDOM UNVEILS NEW SONG “ALTER REALITY” FROM DEBUT ALBUM “A GODLIKE INFERNO”
ANCIENT VVISDOM (pronounced: Ancient Wisdom) released its debut album A Godlike Inferno on June 7 via Shinebox Recordings. The blackened neo-folk / demonic rock squad who recently issued a one sided split 12" LP with Charles Manson (see here) recorded the album at Austin's The Bubble Studio (Built to Spill, Explosions in the Sky, Mammoth Grinder) and promises "a dark, enlightening foresight into the future of humankind." Brooklyn Vegan premieres the new AVV song "Alter Reality", saying of the track, "Who said you need a distortion pedal and a Hi-Watt to sound evil?" PRIMITIVE WEAPONS DEBUT NEW SONG
Crushing Brooklyn post-metal band PRIMITIVE WEAPONS will release its debut EP on March 8 via NYC's Shinebox Recordings.
