Doom lords THE GATES OF SLUMBER will unleash their hotly-anticipated fifth full-length album The Wretch on May 10, 2011 via Rise Above Records / Metal Blade. Featuring eight slabs of punishing metal, The Wretch boils doom down to its purest form, resulting in the Indianapolis trio's finest work to date.

SLEEP ANNOUNCES SUMMER 2011 TOUR DATES ; SPECIAL SHOWS PLANNED FOR NYC, LOS ANGELES AND CALGARY
Legendary stoner rock band SLEEP has just announced a string of summer North American tour dates. On the heels of its sold out U.S. tour run last September, the California trio will return to the stage this summer by popular demand. Live dates in NYC (June 22) and Los Angeles (June 26) will bookend an appearance at the Sled Island Music & Arts Festival in Calgary, AB on June 24, where the group will share the stage with The Dandy Warhols, Blonde Redhead, The Buzzcocks and more.

ORANGE GOBLIN ANNOUNCES U.S. HEADLINING TOUR; UK BAND SET TO STORM THE STATES

The legendary group's seventh studio album and first since 2007's Witchcult Today, Black Masses was recorded with Grammy Award-winning British recording engineer Liam Watson (The White Stripes) in London's Toe Rag Studios and promises to deliver "a crushing behemoth of funereal march pyschedelia" and "the oblivion and ecstasy of 10,000 watts of doom!"
